Zoophyte

Earlier this month, Zoophyte officially signed on the dotted line with Melbourne-based label Dust Devil Music. This relationship heralds a new era for the Zoo Crew who are stoked to be in cahoots with such a friendly and committed bunch of music lovers.

Strangely enough, it also cements Zoophyte’s cosmic connection with Australian soccer. A connection that looked to be in jeopardy with the loss of former bass-player and outspoken South Melbourne supporter Yiorgo Sgourakis. How so?… As it turns out DD’s grand daddy Steve Horvat is a former Socceroo Captain and stalwart, and a fellow at whom Yiorgo admits to having hurled abuse at from the sideline on more than one occasion…
