Well we’d be lying if we said 2012 has been a quiet year for Zoophyte! We’ve had a crazy 6 months playing along side some of Australia’s most iconic bands… Ice House, James Reyne, Noiseworks, Grinspoon, Eskimo Joe, Jebediah, Tex Perkins just to name a few… and the fun doesn’t stop there!
The last fortnight has been an amazing ride for the band, touring up and down the East Coast of Australia as the main support for the one and only INXS. The first leg of the tour saw us play 7 gigs in 12 days across rural NSW and Queensland, covering over 6000 kms in the car.
A massive thanks to INXS, and all the crew involved in the tour. We couldn’t have been more warmly welcomed, and can’t wait for the next shows coming up in a couple of weeks time. Thanks also to all the new friends and fans we made along the way so far. We can’t wait to head north again later in the year when we release SOMEWHERE ELSEWHERE.
